Recent Changes
July 03, 2013, 05:45:49 AM Posted by Illori on July 03, 2013, 05:45:49 AM in Recent Changes | 14 CommentsYesterday, we made a couple of changes to the SM.org site.
Most people will probably not notice them. So, we've decided to make an announcement, to describe these small changes to you.
Firstly, the small update package has been removed from the main download page and will no longer be available from SMF v2.0.4, onward. The small update package has, over the years, caused a lot of confusion and those that used the small update package are urged to use the large upgrade package, or the package manager patch, in the future, to upgrade their SMF install.
The other thing we've done, is updated the repair_settings.php file, which many of you should be familiar with, with a version that the illustrious Emanuele has created. This version includes fixes for some bugs, that the old version had, and added some new features, including the facility to reset the default theme as forum default, this being a clearly-visible option, along with the facility to reset the paths for each custom theme that is installed, without needing to dig-around in the admin panel.
There are other changes.
But, we don't want to ruin all of the surprises, now, do we?
