Its been 6 wonderful months almost 4 years! since I joined the team so I thought about sharing some more info about me for those who wanna know :)

    Yes, a dog.
    Update, sadly, not anymore, my dog died early this year.
    Ten years update: new dorky dog!

    Purple.
    Ten years update: still purple
  • What kind of music do you like?
    I mostly enjoy bands like Ladytron, Crystal Castles and Zoé, I also enjoy listening to The Smiths.

    Ten years update: I felt in love for synth music a few years ago, TR/ST is what I listen to the most these days.
  • What do you do on your free time besides spending time on SMF?
    I love backpacking, chatting, coding, shopping and reading One Piece. oh and watch Dawson's Creek and NCIS ;)

    Update, Still pretty much the same, jut got bored watching NCIS and I already saw Dawson's Creek enough times :P  added a bunch of new bands too

    Ten years update: don't watch any series anymore, occasionally watch The Office. I enjoy learning Latin and lurking on Hacker News for interesting articles to read.  Still a super fan of One Piece!
  • What are your goals/dreams in life?
    To open my own bookstore in a small quiet city.

    Update, yep, still working on it.

    Ten years update: Got an awesome job doing what I like the most so not worried about that anymore.
  • What got you involved in SMF?
    I joined a Spanish scanlation forum that was using SMF 1.1.x to help out with translations back in 2006, eventually I became a global moderator and then an admin,  I started to look how the forum worked and also started to tweak things here and there, that forum got closed and I decided to joined here to learn more about SMF.
  • Who do you admire? Why?
    My mom, she managed to raise 3 kids all by herself.
  • Are you into sports?  If so which ones?
    Not really, I do Yoga though.

    Ten year update: drop the yoga stuff, I'm a runner now.
  • What is your dream job?
    Be self employed, preferable on a bookstore :P

    Ten years update: Got something pretty close to it and I'm cool with that.
  • What was your first screenname?
    Suki and Miss All Sunday are the only nicknames I had used so far.

    Update, A few months ago I went to my mom's and re-discovered my old PC, turns out I also used to use the nickname "Manzanita" (little apple)

    No.

    Lefty, very proud of it BTW.

    No, but I do like to have one.

    Not really, I did played Plants vs Zombies recently and find it very addicted for a couple of days. When I was a kid I liked an ancient arcade game named "Super Pang".

    Update, played Civ 5 but got bored pretty quickly, haven't play any game since then.

    No.
  • Are you married or planing to get married?
    No.

    Update, I've been living together with my BF for quite some time now, that does gotta count as marriage :P

    Ten years update: still living together.

    Spanish and English, a little bit of French.

    Ten years update: At work theres a lot of Portuguese speaking people so I started learn it a bit, mostly just curse words.

    No, well, occasionally :P

    Ten yer update: Became a fan of touring small towns and visiting craft breweries.

  • Do you smoke?
    No, and I do not like smokers.
  • Did you play hookey from class?
    Sure, quite a few times.
  • Do you have a license?
    Yes, soon to be expiring.

    Update, got expired got a new one, got expired too, damn those things surely has a short livespan...

    Ten years update: yeah its a pain in the posterior to renew those damn things...

    • Do you own a car?
      Yes, a nice 1999 Honda Civic.

      Update, I miss my hondie! in her honor I now drive a 2009 Honda Civic.

      Ten years update: 2018 Kia Rio.
    • Have you ever been stopped for speeding?
      Nope.
  • Do you obtain a good amount of sleep daily?
    I guess so, 6 hours are enough for me.

    Update, oh I surely miss been youth...   right now 24 hours of sleep aren't enough for me...

    Ten years update: I cherish my sleep time more than anything in the world now.
  • How do you sleep?
    I dunno, I never watched myself while sleeping.
  • Have you ever been on an airplane?
    Yes.
    Ten years update: Need to go frequently to Chile for work. 9 hours trip, hate airplanes now.

  • Have you ever broken a bone?
    Nope.
  • Do you wear jewelry?  If so what jewelry do you wear?
    I like to wear necklaces, I prefer those handmade but I certainly won't be mad if someone gives me a 24k Gold Necklace ;)

    Update, and my necklace collection has been constantly growing ever since!

    Business casual for work, t-shirts and jeans for home.
  • How many keys are on your keyring?
    5.

    Update, still 5 :P I actually have never missed my keys, I still use the keyring my mom gave to me 15 years ago

    Ten years update:  yep, still got and use the same keyring. More keys though.

  • What time do you go to bed?  What time do you wake up?
    Around midnight and up around 6am.

    Ten years update: I try to get at least 7 hours of sleep these days so midnight and 7am.
  • What's the freakiest thing you have done?
    Some friends and I went to Cancún for my birthday, we end up with no money and had to hitch a lift to get back, it took us a week to get back, it was a lot of fun.

    Last year I was in Chile for a business trip, one day after work I decided to walk back to the hotel and got caught in the middle of the student protests, tear gas everywhere, got in my eyes, hurt really really bad, someone gave me some milk and poured down my face to stop the aching, it was awful.

    Yes.

    Ten years update: not anymore.
  • How many hours a day do you spend in the computer?
    Around 4~5

    Update, those were the days!  I now spend around 1, max 2 hours

    Ten years update: I try to balance this stuff now, active pauses, standing desk and that kind of stuff.
  • How many hours a day do you spend in SMF?
    The same, I usually enter the forum whenever I got a chance.

    Ten years update: Don't browse the forum that frequently anymore, I prefer to focus on dev stuff whenever I got  chance to see SMF's issues, but sometimes I forgot and let a tab with SMF.org open so I'm now in the top ten "Most Time Online" users  ::)
  • What is your favorite beverage - coffee, tea, soda, beer, other?
    Ice Tea.
    Ten years update: Ice water, lots and lots of it.

    Smokers, Haters, Pretentious, Vain or Haughty people, Arrogance as well.  oh and you don't want to be near me if I see someone hurting an animal.

    I was raised catholic but now I do not profess any religion.

      Update, I've always been a modder at heart, thats probably why 90% of all the stuff I've added to SMF 2.1 has to be about giving modders more tools to play with or just make the mod making process easier for them.

Yes, my work is not particularly related to computers but I spend most of my work hours in a PC, as usual, all social networks are blocked so the only place I can go to relax is this  :laugh:

well, heres the deal:

-this is going to be my first license renewal.
-licenses can last 1, 3 or 5 years
-I could get a license if I'm 16 or more years.
-my license will expire this year.

I doubt you can get an exact number for my age ;)

@Ricky.   Miss All Sunday is the fictional character where I took my nickname from, I like her and in many ways I act the same way as her, thats why I use that nickname.


@ahrasis, to each their own.   and actually I didn't have that much make up on, it was the camera flash and the fact that I was so close to the camera.

And yeah, I just noticed that flash too. Luckily I don't like to use flash when taking photos except for special occassions. It ruined most of them rather than making them better. (Or may be its just my camera)

In United Kingdom / Europe, people might say you look more like a Pakistanis while in Malaysia / East Asia, people will say you look like a Hindustanis. Both are fairly pretty and beautiful in their own way. However, I do believe that as a sophisticated girl, you do know that beauty is coming from inner self rather than outer look. I can sense that you know more than what I am trying to say though...  :-X

And I believe using make up does not turn you in a frivolous girl...  its just make up... nothing more,  I'm do not use make up 24 hours a day, in fact, at work I don't use it at all.

My favorite author is José Emilio Pacheco.

It was the natural step to me, after doing small changes to the template files here and there, I became more interested in how exactly SMF was build, it was all about  trial by error.

All the stuff I know comes from SMF files and php.net, since I haven't had a proper guide or any teaching, I usually fail on basic stuff such as commenting, indentation style or basic syntax.

My coding scope goes as far as SMF goes, that is, php, js and mysql things, I have no interest in other languages or other scripts/software.

considering the only purple that really looks at themes is pink and most now are done by someone who is green we need other team members to help out or even other purples to help out more ... darn im on hiatus and im havin to do approvals as other purples arent.

Yeah, its pretty funny because I remember when I took my first full time job as a developer I thought I wouldn't want to work on code in general as a hobby anymore but its actually quite the opposite! I still make time to work on SMF or my mods whenever possible, it doesn't matter if I've been reviewing code all day, the passion is still there.

This reminds me of a drink I can only seem to find when I'm down in south Texas (Laredo or El Paso) called Manzanita del Sol. It's an apple flavored soda that tastes amazing!

I've seen a local one once, a small company was making apple soda and some other unusual flavors. It was really good and was a trend in a matter of weeks when they started selling it. As suddenly as it came around, they closed/stopped selling it, I don't know what happened. Have never seen anything else since :(

Edit: If I didn't remember it having a red coloring, I might consider it's the same one. But maybe not xD
