SMF Manual Upgrades

I bet most people here have at one time or another had to do a manual edit to complete a SMF Package Manager upgrade. I know I have in more than one case. That may be due to the number of mods and undocumented changes I do to my sites :P .

In effort to help make the manual upgrade process easier, I have borrowed most of our code from the mod parser on our Modification site and hacked away at it until it worked the way I wanted it to work. With that and after many hours of testing and tweaking by the SMF Team and our Beta Testers, I finally have a result I am pleased to share with our community.

The Manual Upgrade Site will show each SMF upgrade possible that you could normally do from the SMF Package Manager. Hopefully this will help those needing to make manual edits by giving them a GUI to use in this process :).

Thats all for my cheesy blog. I have more work todo and running out of hours >:(

Never had to actually do a manual update, I'm a fan of using the Large Update package and only applying edits as mods. :P

Should be a very useful tool though.
