One of the many things I love about SMF Team and its been there through the years, may have been forgotten by a few is we are one big family, and of course our family members who have moved away are now friends.  Of course we have had fights with our friends and family but we love each other.  The issues between myself and one friend are well known, however no matter how much we dislike each other, if something was to happen then I would be upset (and i'm sure they would be if something happened to me).  No family is perfect, no friendship is perfect, no-one is perfect
but in thinking about our friends and family here at SMF, I realized a few things, we all want the same thing albeit in different ways, and we have seen almost anything a family would see, we have seen:


Members of our family and friends move to senior positions in big name companies.

A death in our circle, one that affected a few of us who knew them offline.

Romantic relationships between team members.

The birth of a child from various family and friends.

Fights between family members and friends.

Accidents and emergencies.

And the list continues.


We haven't seen 2 team members marry each other yet, but we are hoping it will happen someday, and in research I did find out that its been close to happening!

Now no matter what we have seen, or what we are going to see, we look forward to seeing our family grow and face the challenges ahead, we hope that you will stay with us and watch our baby grow, there have been many positive changes on SMF recently, and no matter what happens I am proud to be able to say, I am part of this family.  And I look forward to welcoming all the future members of the family who don't realize that they belong with us!

This is awesome.    Its always great to know each other inside and outside SMF just like co-workers at the pub on a friday night. One gets to know not only the face behind the avatar but also the true colors.

I have had confrontations with many of you, SMF staff and members alike. But, I never hold a grudge. After a box of Bud Light everything seems fine.

Exactly.  We working people spend all our money on drugs just to make our jobs bearable... namely caffeine and alcohol 

Hey Runic,
Don't forget the unofficial members of that family.
The ones that help out, who are not really considered part of SMF team.
They are the ones that really need to be told "great job" to now and then.

By the way, when is the family reunion?
