- Do you have pets?
Yep, two dogs and a cat. - What is your favorite color?
Probably blue. - What kind of music do you like?
I enjoy pop music along with a bit of rock sometimes. I love Racoon, Deadmau5 and Approaching Nirvana. - What do you do on your free time besides spending time on SMF?
Doing my homework, playing with my dogs or going to a pub with friends. Sometimes I'm busy with another project
- What are your goals/dreams in life?
To become a good coder, and to help people. - What got you involved in SMF?
I joined a forum that ran SMF. It was the 2.0 RC2 time back then. I got interested in how the software worked and how it was made, so I decided to research that a bit. I first got to SMFForFree, but it lacked features. That's how I got to the real SMF

Tough question. I admire hardware and software creators, really. They're just awesome. - Are you into sports? If so which ones?
Nope. People say I need to start with basketball though. - What is your dream job?

Yoshi2889, been using that one for like 3 years now, I seriously need a refresh. - Do you have any piercings?
No, and will never get any, I hope. - Are you a lefty/righty or ambidextrous?
Lefty and I know it! I can do a lot of stuff with my right hand too, though, almost everything except for writing. - Do you have any tattoo's? If not do you wish/plan to get one?
No and no. I want to keep my body vanilla as of now. - Do you have any siblings? If so, how many of each?
Nope and I love it
- What is your favorite website?
This one for sure, though if my localhost counts I'd pick that lol. - Do you play computer games? If so, which ones?
Yep. Mainly Portal (2) and Minecraft. - Do you play video game consoles? Which ones?
Nope. Well, rarely my Wii, but that's when I'm too bored to do something else
- Are you married or planing to get married?
No. Bit too young lol.- If so do you have any kids? No.
- How many kids? None, duh.
- How many languages do you speak? If so which ones?
Dutch, English, French, Latin, Greek and German. That's 6. - Do you drink?
Nopes. That's for later. - Do you smoke?
No, and I don't want to either. - Did you play hookey from class?
Nope, you may pick up useful information even in the last minutes... Except for the p.e. class, which sucks imo. - Do you have a license?
Not yet.- Do you own a car?
No, I have a trauma of cars.. - Have you ever been stopped for speeding?
Nope.
- Do you own a car?

I don't fall asleep during maths so it's probably okay
- How do you sleep?
No idea, I love sleeping on my side though. - Have you ever been on an airplane?
Yes, with a trip to Turkey. - Have you ever broken a bone?
Yes, both legs once.
If bruising also counts, I bruised quite a few bones. - Do you wear jewelry? If so what jewelry do you wear?
Except for my watch not really. - How do you dress?
Usually just jeans and a t-shirt. - How many keys are on your keyring?
4, for the usual stuff; bike, 2x locker and our home. - What time do you go to bed? What time do you wake up?
Weekend around midnight and up around 10:00.

I spend a lot of time using my laptop though. - How many hours a day do you spend in SMF?
Almost all of my time on a PC. - What is your favorite beverage - coffee, tea, soda, beer, other?
Fanta and 7-up FTW. - What do you hate?
Mainly smokers, they smell. - What do you love?
My family. And SMF of course
- What is your religion?
None, no offense but I prefer not to get involved with anything related. - What is your hair color?
Dark blond. - How tall are you?
1.87 metres. Google thinks that's 73.62 inches. - How much do you weigh?

The hundreds of special functions SMF has.
- As an administrator?
- What gadgets do you own?
Sorry CoreISP, I thought this was a great question
I own a laptop (ASUS K53E, 2.5 GHz Core i5 (2450M), 8 GB RAM, Intel HD graphics 3000, Windows 7, media center (2.8 GHz Core i5 670, 4 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 560 Ti, Windows 7), crappy desktop (1.9 GHz Core 2 Duo (6300), 2 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT / Intel GMA X3100, Windows 7 (with XBMC)), iMac (2.5 GHz Core i5 (2400S), 4 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6750M, Mac OS X 10.7.4 Lion), an iPod Touch 4G (jailbroken, iOS 5.1.1), HTC HD2 running MIUI, Nintendo DS, DS lite and DSi (non-XL), and anything else I might have forgotten

Who didn't?
You're taller than me. That's just unacceptable. I will have to take some sort of action against you, my friend.
Possible that I didn't fill in any age, though, because I believe I filled it in later on.
(might have looked different back then though, I don't remember when the registration page was updated to this ugly one)
Not that I'm judging anyone. I was 12 when I signed on, and just over 13 when I got on the team.
What coding language/s would you like to work with?
I'm sometimes amazed when I find out the age of some members around here.
Keep up the good work and I wish you the best of luck with what ever you decide to do in the future.
Thanks!
You have a broken list item in your post somewhere btw
@ApplianceJunk - Where he lives it's night.
The young generation can find the time, us adults have to work.
lol, shows you how smart I'am...
AJ: You couldn't know, though look at my profile
Though lets not spam this topic :3
Heck, if you keep going at the rate you are, by the time you get to be my age you'll be a master on those subjects.
I'm not sure we can have normal people doing stuff, here...
Which operating system(s) do you use?
Well, if we start to count on that; we'd have to say then;
1- HTML is not a programming language; as refered in its name, its just a mark-up language.
2- JavaScript is not a programming language either, again as refered in name, its a scripting language
3- CSS is not a programming language either; see the name again..
4- AJAX is definitly not a language, it's better called a set of JS methods and libraries.
Accordingly the only programming language counted in the list is PHP; besides it's being counted in scripting languages at some places.
Whatever, I guess our young friend has a long way to go; but being eager and having enough opportunities he's getting fast to where he likes. Still worth to appreciate though.
Decrying it as a scripting language instead of a programming language is like trying to argue that a truck is not a vehicle, because your idea of a vehicle is a car.
The definition of a scripting language really comes down to the fact that it is interpreted not compiled, but it doesn't prevent either from being actual programming languages. Heck, you can actually write a web*server* in JavaScript.
I said "if we start to count on that".. I don't personally think JS is not a programming language. Furthermore, its being a programming language doesn't affect others being not.
Though guys, I didn't mean to say create your Place O' Spam here, please stop spamming this topic with this discussion, else I'll have to split it into another discussion and I don't feel like doing so.
I'm very fast to tell people when they are wrong. JS is in any way you care to slice it, a programming language.
There are people who have written complete PC emulators in JavaScript (capable of running Linux in the browser and nothing else), so no matter how much you think it isn't, it is a programming language.
Thus you're very fast on being wrong
You are more likely a scripter; still about you
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JavaScript
JavaScript (sometimes abbreviated JS) is a prototype-based scripting language that is dynamic, weakly typed, general purpose programming language and has first-class functions. It is a multi-paradigm language, supporting object-oriented,[5] imperative, and functional[1][6] programming styles.
Well, having a knowledge about programming languages definitely requires enough reading and understanding abilities which sometimes people refuse to have.
Arantor: Elmacik is clearly giving an opinion there. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean you can change his mind about it.
Finally someone who doesn't play game consoles as me
So, when you are bored and can't go out to play and have no homework as such, what do you do on a computer?
destroyoptimize an SMF installation...You're starting to seem too much like a new me. Started HTML/CSS at 10, joined the SMF team at 13, left the team at 15, found the meaning of life at 16.5, had first girl/boyfriend at 34...?
Yikes.
How many times have ya smacked me with that one? Ain't it broken already?
I see you just bought a new ASUS laptop loaded with Windows 7 to xD.
Keeps BSODing and crapping.
Never had a BSOD on my own computers tho, however on two separate occasions the the motherboard and video card both died lol.
By reinstalling drivers some occasions have stopped and sometimes the thing runs really stable but it's annoying when it's unstable.
The worst I had was a computer that would always reboot when it got a little bit hot. The problem with it was that before I had finished putting the computer together all the way, my siblings decided to use it. Will it had no heat sink on the CPU.
about it. I mean, probably it will be a Pomeranian dog.
Whats about the cat? Is it persian one? I really that and always look for a better diet for it.
Do kids even wear socks these days?
You don't have to wear socks to like the color of them.
http://store.iheartdropdead.com/shopimages/happy-feet-product-front.jpg
Sure they are...
You just keep telling yourself that.
Must be that hairdo you have. Get a haircut.
I liked K@'s comment, "You are too normal "
Do tell us about your first gf here (you said you don't have any yet)
I agree, awesome job!
What's that about, then?
Oddly enough, I was doing about 20mph at the time. This, on a bike that could go from 0 mph to 60 mph(96kph) in 1.3 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_TuoMWklyI&feature=related
Speed's a funny thing, though, Yosh.
When I use to ski, I suspect that I must've gone over 100kph, a few times.
It was phun, rather than being scary.
In many ways, I think it's bad that you can drive a car, now, without having to do bikes, first, like you used to.
Bikes give you a better feel for just how bloody dangerous the roads really are and car-drivers are somewhat cosseted, from that.
It's supposed to be like that because speed IS dangerous.
As I said, I spent two months in a coma. I actually died, at one point.
Speed might be fun, yes. But, it does kill.
Yes, you're right.
What I'm contending, is that having speed without "scary", is what's killing people.
If going fast makes you scared, as it should, you wouldn't do it.
But when people are 'comfortable' with being very very fast and there is familiarity with it, familiarity breeds contempt, and people who have contempt for something tend not to give it the healthy respect it deserves...
- CPU: Intel Core i5 670
- Mobo: Gigabyte H55M-UD2H
- RAM: 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz
- GPU: Sparke NVIDIA GeForce 560 Ti
- HDD: 250 GB Western Digital
- Case: Packard Bell OEM (couldn't find a better one around
So yeah, added to the gadgets-list-thingy.
Also I'm feeling less comfortable in our Mercedes lately, it keeps beeping alerting us that two errors occurred in it's system...
Aint it past ya bedtime?
(Is almost 1am in UK)
(probably am once I go and lie down but *cough*)
Biggest app I wrote....Hmm, must be a replacement notepad. Notepad in Windows sucks as it is, so I decided to write my own
And you developed MODS: http://www.map3cms.co.cc/index.php?action=mods
You got a great future ahead
I enjoy programming, therefore I can't resist building things on top of SMF
In fact, that page is some kind-of mod I made, though not for the public
I have to say this... I have NEVER met a Dutch person that I haven't got on VERY well with, in Real Life.
I spent quite a bit of time, over there. Everybody was pleasantly mental.
Mostly around Eindhoven and Dortrecht.
Thanks!
Although I spent time there, I was actually staying in Belgium, at the time. (LONG story involving a seriously beautiful woman)
Welcome to my world, touched my first code around the same age.
seems like lots of talented people are here in this forum
Back then, I was stuck on Win 3.1 + VB 3.0. The biggest and best app I wrote was a file manager, simply because the default one provided in Windows sucked.
How about sharing the exe file with us?
wanna see your software
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=411628.msg2870376#msg2870376
Too bad I don't have the source anymore, maybe you can extract it from the EXE.
That was a pretty good software
Don't be ashamed, everyone was noob once
Don't be ashamed, if I still had access to most of my old code I wouldn't mind sharing most of it. Sometimes it surprises me with code I written a few years back. Sometimes your young self can re-teach your older self some things.
My behavior back in the days was horrible, to say the least.
keep up with the good work
(I blocked all except friends -- added you in a sec)
Yoshi, I am that annoying ha ha. And I just bypassed your filters!
